Books on Games

There are many books about video games, the industry, and stories and history. Right now im reading this one:

Amazon.com: Books: Masters of Doom: How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture

And I’ve got my eye on:

Get in the Game: Careers in the Game Industry

Although it doesnt have the ravest reviews, actually they’re quite mixed;

This is the best book written on getting a job in the video game industry! It has been very useful and within 4 months of purchasing the book, I landed a job at a major video game company. This book is a must have for anyone getting into the industry or even trying to further their careers.

Is there supposed to be something insightful in this book? I did not see it. Gave the book to my cousin who is mentally challenged.

This is one of the worst attempts at writing a book I have ever seen, let alone writing one on getting a job in the game industry. Several people I know have used the advise from this book: one got fired outright; another ended up getting sued by his boss; a third is now an alcoholic.
