Nintendo Says Wii Excitement to Blame for Controller Toss

An Associated Press article recently released cited President Satoru Iwata of Nintendo discussing further investigation of the Wii strap breakage.

“Some people are getting a lot more excited than we’d expected,” Iwata said. “We need to better communicate to people how to deal with Wii as a new form of entertainment.”

However, spokespeople for Nintendo have reiterated that they have no immediate plans to revise the strap.

Iwata also denied that Nintendo was competing against Sony and said “It’s more important to attract novice players and to reach out to older people and others usually not associated with games”.
