Final Fantasy Tactics seems to be getting a sequel coming to an undisclosed nintendo handheld. The Sony PSP will get a remake of the original Final Fantasy Tactics. The sequal for DS will be called Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Black Book. Let’s hope this one isn’t based on FFTA but I’m not holding my breath.
Gears of War seems to be getting a lot of press lately with bugs being humorously documented on youtube and reports of bad discs shipping. I’m sure it’s amplified by the shear number of people crawling over ebgames to buy and play it but it bears notice. Just like quake’s rocket jump was never meant to be, this super jump in gears of war could turn the game on it’s head.
If you’re expecting to play PS2 games on your PS3, you might want to wait for that emulator to release a version that works with FF7. Checkout this overly dramatic video detailing the problems with the PS3 Backwards compatibility. I guess it doesn’t upsample graphics very well. Some have even said this is a hardware issue and no amount of firmware updates can fix it. Maybe we can get a software blur effect?
Skype 3.0 launched for PC. They also have a new Promo deal for $14.95 for one year of long distance. The promotion will also include 100 minutes of SkypeOut for International calls and over $50 worth of coupons for purchasing Skype-certified hardware products. After January 31, the yearly fee will increase to $29.95. Free LD kaput.
