Halo 3 Beta Opening Again Soon

New information regarding how to enter the Halo 3 Multiplayer beta has been released. It appears pretty much anyone who sort of gives a damn can get into it now.

One way is to purchase the upcoming open world action game Crackdown. Produced by Real Time Worlds, Crackdown will ship on Feb 20th. When the beta test begins in the spring, those of you who have purchased Crackdown can use it to download the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta. You’ll need an Xbox 360 hard drive and an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

The other way to get “in” on the Halo 3 beta is to play Halo 2 on Xbox 360, on Live, for three hours on February 1st. Then be the one of the first 13,333 players to sign up on the official Halo 3 web site.

Not sure what that number means, I’d suggest playing from midnight to 3am if you’re going for option 2.
